Links to other bot fly and related websites
Below is a list of links to some of the other websites with information on and drawings and photos of bot flies and related insects, including species that typically infest rabbits and rodents (i.e., Cuterebra species) and species that infest other wild mammals, domestic animals and humans. Because some bot flies are pests of domestic animals (e.g., horse 'stomach' bot flies [Gasterophilus], cattle grubs [Hypoderma] and sheep nose bots [Oestrus]), several state university/extension websites provide information on the natural history, pest status and management of these insects. We only list links to some of these websites. Also, we offer links to a few of the many websites that provide information about and/or photos of insects & other arthropods and wildlife & wildlife rehabilitation (especially North American small mammals, which are the typical hosts of Cuterebra bot flies), as well as links to additional webpages covering these organisms. Mention of a product or management tactic in the links below does not
constitute an endorsement by the authors or the University of Florida.
